The Eli Whitney Museum is a learning center inspired by the life and times of American inventor Eli Whitney. It occupies the same building that Whitney once used as an armory, about four miles north of downtown New Haven, on the west side of East Rock Park. Attractions include exhibits about the career and personal life of Whitney, as well as an extremely popular children's workshop that allows young people to make inventions of their own.
